In order to promote the new curriculum, Taichung No. 1 Middle School is a seed school in the Central District of the Ministry of Education's cross-disciplinary aesthetic education program. It attempts to combine art-related courses with different disciplines to develop courses with literacy-oriented education concepts.

The aesthetic education curriculum is developed and led by art teacher Zhu Zhongyong and biology teacher Gong Yongren, looking for interdisciplinary possibilities in ink flower creation and scientific drawing of animals and plants. In the early stages of course development, we invited botanical cartographers from the Science and Technology Museum to provide additional training, so that teachers could better understand the performance techniques and observation points of scientific plant drawings.

In the interdisciplinary course on the 26th, teacher Gong Yongren introduced the concepts of botany and scientific drawing in the biology class, asking students to think about the similarities and differences between the two; teacher Zhu Zhongyong taught the meticulous flower sketching technique in the ink class, and the two teachers jointly Guide students to campus observation and plant sketching, and help students find changes in the focus of observation and performance before and after the course is introduced.
