Hualien Guofeng Junior High School has entered its fifth year of promoting cross-disciplinary aesthetic courses, developing art courses related to Hualien, closely integrating Chinese, geography, history, English, civics, nature, mathematics and other courses, so that students can also experience in the subject Midea Education, relevant teaching plans will be compiled into the country's first cross-field aesthetic course e-textbook, which will be launched online next month to provide reference for other domestic schools.
Guofeng Junior High School is the only junior high school in Hualien that has an art class. The Ministry of Education promotes cross-disciplinary beauty courses, and the school has become a pioneer school. Starting from the 103 school year, with the art class as the core and "The Beauty of Hualien" as the theme, the school is organized by the art class. Nearly 20 teachers, including teacher Tang Xiangying, have invested in curriculum research and development.
Tang Xiangying is an important promoter of the school's cross-field aesthetic courses. She said that aesthetic education combines various disciplines to develop different forms of expression. In addition to traditional paper-and-pen drawings, there are also presentation design, computer drawing, etc. The results were shown yesterday. For example, bookmarks that combine the social field, postcards with short poems and illustrations that combine the Chinese field, kaleidoscopes that combine the geological field, etc.
Zhang Yating, a participating natural field teacher, said that how earth science courses can be combined with aesthetic education and incorporate the characteristics of Hualien is to study the marble, rose stone, etc. that are abundant in Hualien, from the discussion of the causes, background introduction to the connection with the place, and then transfer to the creation, the process , the teachers also gained a lot.
Even mathematics can be combined with aesthetic education. Tang said that symmetry is an important part of mathematics. Cross-field aesthetic education focuses on finding the beauty of symmetry and integrates food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, etc.
