The 2025 Ministry of Education's International Visit for Aesthetic Education Teachers - Return Sharing Session Concluded Successfully

The sharing session after returning from Austria and the Czech Republic began with a video showcasing the results of the visit. In her opening remarks, Professor Zhao Huiling, the host, expressed her special gratitude to the Department of Teacher Training and Arts Education of the Ministry of Education for its support, which enabled Taiwanese aesthetic teachers to travel to Austria and the Czech Republic to immerse themselves in local teaching practices and exchange ideas with foreign art teachers, thus broadening their educational horizons.

During the sharing sessions of the school visits and classroom observations, Director Lu Pei-Chi was most impressed by the Halloween paper cutting lesson and shared the window scene lesson plan she designed with other teachers, showcasing the results of interdisciplinary collaboration. Teacher Lu Chao-Yan presented the teaching process of teachers in Austria and Czech Republic through videos and compared the differences between the two countries' education systems with charts, allowing Taiwanese teachers to better understand the teaching characteristics of different education systems.

The second phase focused on the experience of technology and art. Teacher He Zhujun shared her feelings about watching video works at the Prague Technology and Arts Festival. In contrast to the "digital anxiety" in Taiwan's education scene, she pointed out that Austria and the Czech Republic place more emphasis on using technology as a medium to deepen humanistic thinking and build emotional connections. Teacher Zhou Yayi used the architecture of palaces and opera houses as examples to emphasize the mutual resonance between architecture and music, reflecting the aesthetic philosophy that "architecture is frozen music, and music is flowing architecture."

The third phase focused on cultural heritage. Teacher Li Wanqi contrasted Kinmen's traditional settlements and floral tile designs with those of the historic districts of Austria and the Czech Republic, highlighting how the latter demonstrates its commitment to cultural preservation through a pedestrian-only system and strict legal regulations. Director Wang Junyu, with a touch of humor, shared her experiences with food and music encountered during her travels. She believes that aesthetic appreciation is rooted in the continuity of people and relationships, emphasizing the importance of cherishing encounters with beauty and shared experiences, and extending that emotional connection.

In addition to the lively sharing on stage, the teachers in the audience also gave enthusiastic feedback. The gathering made the atmosphere warm and full of exchange. A total of 64 teachers attended the event, with 17 attending online and 47 attending in person. Finally, Professor Gao Zhenfeng concluded with words of encouragement, bringing this year's international visit program to a successful close. The entire event not only showcased the teachers' cross-cultural learning achievements but also highlighted the profound significance of aesthetic education in international exchanges.
