The Ministry of Education's cross-domain aesthetic education excellence pilot project "114 academic year Taipei-Keelung-Island cooperative school cross-domain aesthetic achievement presentation - Wanhua venue" was held at the Wanhua Bopiliao historical district on June 24, 2015. A total of 17 schools in Taipei-Keelung-Island gathered together to present the results of wonderful courses that integrate local characteristics with international issues. The courses cover crafts, photography, ecology, bilingualism, public welfare, food education and technology, combined with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and social emotional learning (SEL), and integrated into various issues, showing cross-school, cross-domain, and cross-national exchanges and cooperation.

The event was hosted by Professor Huang Chunmin, co-director of the project, and invited Associate Professor Shi Lanmei from the Department of History at National Taiwan Normal University and Assistant Professor Chen Xinheng from the Teacher Education College to participate in the feedback and comments. Curriculum Supervisor Zhu Ruizhen from the Yilan County National Education Counseling Group also made a special visit to the event to witness the fruitful results of the project's partner school teachers in promoting cross-domain aesthetic education in the teaching field.

The morning event started with a "Walking Tour in Monga". The project co-host Professor Li Qichang led the participating teachers to explore the historical texture of Wanhua, explore the important faith center with a history of more than 300 years - Longshan Temple, get to know the Renji Hospital which is closely linked to the local history, and visit Qingcao Lane, which is famous for its herbal culture, and the Xinfu Town Cultural Market, which represents Taipei's early modernist architecture. Wanhua not only has the third-rate story of hundreds of teahouses, but also the inherited memory of the century-old Qingcao store. As time goes by, it has condensed into a unique and charming style. The participating teachers shuttled through the old streets and alleys of Wanhua, feeling the pulse of history and the rise and fall of prosperity, and experienced what Professor Huang Chunmin, the co-host of the project, said, "The most profound aesthetic education starts from the local historical districts." By experiencing the five senses and six senses in daily life, more possibilities for aesthetic education are opened.

In the afternoon, teachers from various schools took turns to share their teaching achievements, with many highlights: Keelung Shenmei Elementary School gave back to its hometown by designing a sustainable city with recycled materials; Yilan Neicheng Huayu Branch School combined ecological education with art to create an insect hotel; Luodong Gongzheng Elementary School and Taipei Jiaotong University Elementary School promoted sustainable learning with marine issues; New Taipei Yongping Senior High School used curatorial courses to explore themselves; Taipei Jingmei Junior High School combined writing and creation with human rights and gender issues; New Taipei Yongfu Elementary School integrated social emotional learning into the bilingual art curriculum; Taipei Ren'ai Elementary School started international exchanges with Taiwan image art creation; Taipei Fuxing Senior High School designed cultural and creative products and integrated them with the Aodi fishermen's charity activities; Tamsui Culture Elementary School and Taipei Zhishan Junior High School guided students to experience beauty in life and integrated food education into the curriculum; New Taipei Zhongping Junior High School created a picture book with the theme of world architecture; New Taipei Fuxing Commercial and Industrial and Sanzhi Junior High School integrated AI technology into art teaching; New Taipei Ren'ai Elementary School, Banqiao Zhongshan Elementary School, and Zhonghe Fuxing Elementary School respectively used bronze mirrors, weaving and indigo dyeing techniques to develop cross-domain courses.

This cross-domain aesthetic achievement conference is an aesthetic journey launched by education—showing the beauty of psychology, social interpersonal beauty, and craftsmanship. The beauty of various aspects is interwoven in this educational landscape, connecting the real and profound learning landscape in life. It is expected that teachers will start from local characteristics or humanistic care, organically integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), social emotional learning (SEL) and 19 topics of 12-year national education into curriculum design, continue to connect with the world, and create unlimited possibilities for cross-domain aesthetic education.
