This interdisciplinary aesthetics course focuses on SDGs 13: Climate Action: Comprehensive Mitigation and Adaptation, with responding to climate change and its impacts as its core value. It integrates natural science knowledge, environmental action practices, and digital technology applications. Beginning with an understanding of ecosystems and the carbon cycle, students create eco-bottles (micro-landscapes) to observe the relationship between organisms and the environment. Finally, using AI virtual hosts to create promotional videos, students advocate for concrete carbon reduction actions to their peers and the community, thereby implementing the sustainable development of "knowing, knowing, and doing."
Focusing on the carbon cycle, the program strengthens students' understanding of the relationship between ecosystems and human behavior through hands-on activities like creating eco-bottles and AI-powered livestreams. Through digital expression, students demonstrate environmental care and activism, fostering concrete sustainability initiatives and influencing their peers. Through these activities and advocacy, students build environmental awareness, enhance their self-efficacy, and deepen their abilities in scientific inquiry and social engagement through observation and sharing.
