This course, centered on the senior-level school curriculum "Come! Come Realize Your Dreams - Dream Practitioners," is divided into two main themes: "A Date with the Mountain God" and "Ocean Watch Team," integrating cross-disciplinary learning. The "A Date with the Mountain God" unit develops its curriculum before, during, and after entering the outdoor education field. After confirming their course selection preferences, students begin learning about mountaineering equipment, packing skills, Leave No Trace principles, risk management, alpine flora and fauna, and sketching techniques. When entering Egongji Mountain, Hehuan Mountain, and Xiaoqilai Peaks, they open up to observation and learning about nature through physical and artistic activities, experiencing their own physical and mental state. They bring their inspiration back to school to create diverse artistic works, recording their learning and precious memories in the mountains. Finally, they attempt to write about the advice to humanity from the perspective of the mountains and animals.
The "Ocean Watch Team" segment focuses on the current state of the oceans surrounding Taiwan. Through watching documentaries and interacting with ecological conservation advocates, participants learn about the creatures of Xiangshan Wetland and the whales and dolphins in the Taiwan area, attempting to understand the plight of marine life and taking practical action to advocate for them. In addition to serving as gatekeepers for the 2025 Wetland Carnival, the children also created wooden sculptures in the shape of marine creatures and sold diffuser stones at the market, inviting adults to join them in giving hope to marine life.
This course aims to use art to enable students to demonstrate their observation and care for nature and animal life, transforming knowledge into a warm and touching connection.
