This course, Masks and Monologues, aims to cultivate students’ creativity, emotional expression and performance abilities through the combination of Chinese language and performing arts. The course is centered around "monologue" and develops from three main aspects: text creation, mask design, and voice expression, allowing students to explore themselves and character creation through different art forms. In the field of Chinese literature, students will learn monologue writing to develop character narrative ability and emotional expression skills; in performing arts, through mask design and production, students will understand the importance of body language and visual expression; finally, through voice performance, students will learn the use of intonation, rhythm and emotion to make the monologue more vivid. This course not only enhances students' cross-disciplinary learning ability, but also emphasizes the connection between performing arts and personal emotional expression, cultivates self-confidence and creativity, and ultimately demonstrates students' learning outcomes in the form of comprehensive performances.
