This course focuses on real-life puzzle solving, integrating Scouting, Visual Arts, Physics, Chemistry, Chinese Literature, and Home Economics. Through task-oriented and cross-disciplinary collaboration, it guides students to transform textbook knowledge into practical and creative applications. The course is divided into three main themes: The first focuses on conceptual guidance and creative thinking, helping students understand the basic logic and story structure of puzzle solving and training them to translate abstract knowledge into concrete tasks; the second theme arranges students to experience interdisciplinary puzzles in real-life settings across various school spaces, allowing students to apply reasoning, observation, teamwork, and communication skills in real-life scenarios to complete tasks; the third theme requires students to design their own puzzles and cue cards, combining puzzle design, typographical aesthetics, and group creative processes to complete real-life puzzles on campus.
The curriculum aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, and provides students with a diverse and motivating learning process through diverse, experiential, and creative learning methods. Furthermore, the curriculum reinforces three core SEL competencies: students practice interpersonal relationships and communication through collaborative work; cultivate responsible decision-making through task execution and design decisions; and foster self-awareness and self-management through course reflection sheets and observation feedback mechanisms.
This course is not only an interdisciplinary puzzle-solving adventure, but also a learning journey for students to develop teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
