The Ministry of Education's "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Excellence Leading Project" 2024 Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan region cooperating schools' interdisciplinary aesthetic education achievements sharing session was held on June 27th (Friday) at National Tainan University. This sharing session brought together 18 cooperating schools from Yunlin County, Chiayi County and City, and Tainan City. Guests included Principal Tseng Nan-hsun of Da-hsiang Elementary School, Principal Huang Ying-chia of Liu-lin Elementary School, Principal Chen Liang-tu of He-shun Elementary School, and Chou Wan-ping, an officer from the Chiayi County Education Bureau, who shared their classroom gains in interdisciplinary aesthetic education during the 2024 academic year.

Elementary School and Yongkang Junior High School in Tainan City, the Affiliated Elementary School of National Chiayi University, Yushan Junior High School in Chiayi City, and Yuren Elementary School in Yunlin County, through their collaborative efforts in landscape exploration, seasonal snacks, community building, traditional crafts, and artistic creation, integrated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an international perspective to realize their creative expression.
Schools such as Chang'an Elementary School, Jiufenzi Elementary and Junior High School, and Xinmin Elementary School in Tainan City, and Liulin Elementary School in Chiayi County, have integrated Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with environmental courses to cultivate students' awareness and care for themselves and their environment.
Tainan City's Yuejin Elementary School, Heshun Elementary School, National Zengwen Agricultural and Industrial High School, Chiayi County's Daxiang Elementary School, Chiayi City's Chongwen Elementary School, and Yunlin County's Kouhu Junior High School deepened their art practice through themes such as figurines, puppet shows, indigo dyeing, murals, and music creation. National Dongshi High School, drawing inspiration from the environment and students' hearts, not only resonated with students' thoughts and feelings but also beautified the campus environment through its curriculum.
Yizhu Junior High School in Chiayi County uses insects as a theme, integrating crafts and technology to allow students to experience the beauty of nature through creation; Jiali Junior High School in Tainan City combines music creation and visual art handicrafts to promote kabalin creation to schools throughout Taiwan, expanding its aesthetic influence.


The attending teacher training committee members, Assistant Professor Huang Jingfang from the Department of Music at National Tainan University, Associate Professor Huang Ruisong from the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at National YunTech University, and Associate Professor Chen Hongling from the Department of Music at National Chiayi University, highly praised the interdisciplinary aesthetic education achievements showcased by each school, commending their depth and warmth. Project co-host Professor Lin Xiaoyu summarized, "Touching hearts with hearts, influencing lives with lives," affirming the teachers' fruitful results through their unwavering dedication to education.

The afternoon workshop on social-emotional learning, led by Ms. Lin Mei-hong from the Central Curriculum and Teaching Guidance Team for Arts under the Ministry of Education, guided participants to become aware of their emotions through situational and emotion cards, and expressed emotions by "dancing with emotions" using fabric. The course incorporated the OECD Learning Compass and MBTI, and practiced Satir coping postures through a three-stage exercise of "Disgusting, But, Okay," combining AI and performing arts to develop an instructional design that blends aesthetics and SEL (Social Emotional Learning). The instructors concluded by generating diverse and creative course ideas such as "Mood Postcards," "Catch Your Emotions," "My Emotional Color Mask," and "My Dream Home," showcasing the rich possibilities of integrating social-emotional learning with art.
