Today marks the annual "# World Theatre Day," a day initiated by the International Theatre Institute in 1961 to raise public awareness of the value of theatrical arts. Below is a sharing of interdisciplinary theatre courses integrating SEL (Self-Learning Experience):

❶ Qingshan Junior High School, New Taipei City — "Imagine: Amplifying My Imagination and Expression with F"
New Taipei City's Qingshan Elementary and Junior High School showcased an innovative approach that blends theatrical performance with technology. Using the classic literary work "The Ballad of Mulan" as its core text, the school cleverly transformed AI into an auxiliary tool that breaks through the barriers of traditional language interpretation. Students underwent multi-level learning, including "language comprehension, visual construction, sound expression, and performance interpretation," and finally presented their reading results in the form of "storytelling theater," transforming words and images into concrete sound and physical expressions on stage.

❷ National Taitung Senior High School—A Debut—A Harmonious and Empathetic Performance: A First-Year Music and Dance Showcase on Integrating Social Emotional Learning
In the warm-up phase of the course, first-year high school students participated in an "emotion card" game from their drama fundamentals training. They moved randomly to music and used their bodies to act out the emotion cards stuck to each other's foreheads. As the course progressed to the theme of "Sound and Image Flow," an interdisciplinary aesthetics team composed of history, mother tongue, art, and music teachers led students through classic Taiwanese songs such as "Looking Forward to Spring" and "Walking Forward," analyzing the historical context and emotional connotations behind each era. After appreciating the ethnic conflicts and historical sorrows expressed in the lyrics, students incorporated theatrical elements into their performances.
We hope that the above lesson plans and courses can inspire those who love drama, allowing them to experience the cultural depth and beauty of life brought by art, and to extend their learning into daily life.
