The Hualien District Collaborative Schools' Achievements Sharing Meeting on Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education for the 2023-2024 Academic Year was held on June 1st at Xifu Elementary School, where each school shared its curriculum achievements centered on art, aesthetics, and local culture.

Mingyi Elementary School integrates healing and aesthetics into its teaching through courses on succulents, staghorn ferns, herbal teas, and fabric dyeing; Hegang Elementary School combines art and technology to develop photography courses, guiding students to rediscover the beauty of life from the perspective of Amis culture; Xuetian Elementary School deepens students' understanding of their hometown through field trips to Fuli, participation in the Straw Art Festival, and bilingual presentations; Daoxiang Elementary School connects various fields of learning with art, cultivating students' perception of beauty and emotional cultivation; and Xifu Elementary School starts from the Mafu pottery culture and local life experiences, using art to transform land memories and emotions, showcasing the power of healing and rebirth.


Project leader Professor Zhao Huiling, co-leader Teacher Gao Zhenfeng, teacher training committee member Professor Xu Xiuju, and participating teachers and principals shared their teaching experiences and future prospects, hoping to continue to deepen curriculum practice through interdisciplinary aesthetic education. The event also invited international students to participate in exchanges, sharing how art education accompanies students in facing challenges and seeing hope.

In the afternoon, all teachers went to the Mafu Kiln to experience pottery creation. From digging and preparing the clay to sculpting, they felt the connection between the land, nature, and culture, leaving a warm and profound memory for this results sharing session.
