2025 Ministry of Education's Overseas Study Tour for Aesthetic Education Teachers – Czech Schools

The second group of teachers from Austria and the Czech Republic on an international study tour of aesthetic education is drawing to a close. This final report brings our learning journey to a perfect end, immersing us in the Czech Republic's educational atmosphere, which is full of beauty and vibrant life!

Brno Art and Design Secondary School and Higher Vocational School

Located in Brno, the Czech Republic's second-largest city, the school focuses on "practical art combined with design thinking" to cultivate artistic talents with both creativity and professional skills. The school offers diverse programs including painting, illustration, photography, spatial and media arts, fashion design, eco-textiles, and motion design, allowing students to progressively deepen their skills and aesthetic sensibilities based on their interests.

The delegation visited painting classrooms, photography studios, darkrooms, and printmaking classrooms, where student creations and humorous art installations were visible throughout the campus, showcasing an atmosphere of free creation. From distorted student portraits to exhibits featuring teachers, everything reflected the educational philosophy that "aesthetics are life." The school encourages students to explore themselves through creation and connect with the world through art, demonstrating the humanistic foundation and innovative energy of Czech art education.

Prague Bila Primary School and Kindergarten

Located in Prague's 6th district, this kindergarten combines art education with functional aesthetics, boasting a superior community environment and abundant family education resources. The kindergarten has three classes, taught collaboratively by teachers and counselors. The curriculum is themed "Creative Works in the Four Seasons," encouraging children to engage in art activities based on natural observations, and strengthening family and community connections through "Parents' Creative Day."

Built in the 1930s, the school is a representative of Czech modernist architecture, emphasizing practical structure, simple lines, and a minimalist black-and-white style. The school buildings are openly divided into zones, balancing learning and living; students can choose their main meals in the cafeteria and freely use sports and recreational facilities, embodying the philosophy of "learning is life." The corridor walls display students' creations using diverse media, fully demonstrating the school's emphasis on aesthetic education.
