Sharing the activities of the first group of the 2025 International Study Tour Program for Aesthetic Education Teachers

Here comes the fresh report on the 2025 Aesthetic Education Teachers' Visit to Austria and the Czech Republic! Thanks to Mr. Wang, the head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Austria, for contacting and accompanying the visiting teachers, leading them on an inspiring and heartwarming learning journey through the art capital and fairytale city.

The first stop was the Kaiser Müller Bilingual Primary School in Vienna's 22nd district. Accompanied by Group Leader Wang, the visiting teachers were divided into four groups to observe classes. In the English class, the teachers guided the children to learn vocabulary through worksheets and to learn to interpret sentences through physical performance. At the end of the class, the children recited a poem together in a lively tone.

The following day, they visited the Hegssee Art High School in Vienna. Principal Thomas warmly welcomed them with Viennese biscuits and shared how the school, in the AI era, insists on grounding students' creative work in art and using technology as a supplement. The Taiwanese teachers reciprocated with gifts of Taiwanese coffee, tea, and pastries, and the cultural exchange unfolded in warmth and laughter.

Next, they arrived at the Brno Design High School in the Czech Republic, where teachers and students entered the creative classrooms to observe courses in typography, illustration, photography, and printmaking. The students' exquisite hand-drawn and design works amazed the visiting teachers, who were deeply impressed by the creativity and passion of design education.

The final stop was Prague, known as the City of a Thousand Spires. Teachers at Bila Primary School and Kindergarten used local materials to guide children in arranging images with chestnuts and exploring spray painting with toothbrushes. The school and classrooms were filled with the students' works, brimming with childlike wonder and imagination, deeply moving the visiting teachers and staff.

The four schools visited during this trip to Austria and the Czech Republic not only connected the cultural and educational exchanges between Taiwan and Austria and the Czech Republic, but also allowed the spirit of interdisciplinary aesthetic education to continue to blossom through mutual sharing and inspiration.
