The "2026 Ministry of Education Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Season Opening Ceremony and Workshop" was held today (15th) with great fanfare. Educators from all over Taiwan, teachers and students from partner schools, and partners who care about education issues gathered together to unveil the 2026 Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Season. Through exchanges and sharing, we saw the profound energy that art can generate when it enters the educational field, and it also demonstrated once again how interdisciplinary aesthetic education can open up more ways for learning to experience the world.

The event began with the premiere of a documentary on interdisciplinary aesthetic education. Through the lens, attendees were taken into the classroom to witness the diverse forms of aesthetic education in different schools. Director Huang Hsiu-yi shared that during the filming at Kuo-hsi Elementary School, she was deeply moved by the "slow" quality that the documentary naturally exuded. Under the long-term companionship and influence of aesthetic education, children are able to cultivate themselves, express themselves freely, and demonstrate a delicate and sincere way of life.
Another documentary focuses on the National Chiayi University Affiliated Experimental Elementary School. Director Zhan Haozhong stated that he was deeply moved by the school's overall sense of order, the high level of teaching synergy among teachers, and the passionate and energetic atmosphere in the educational setting. The film captures the focused and harmonious interaction between teachers and students, authentically showcasing the deep learning relationships established through interdisciplinary courses.

In addition to the documentary release, the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education × Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Navigation Cards" were also officially launched at the event. By combining interdisciplinary aesthetic education with SEL, it not only helps to improve students' happiness and learning outcomes, but also guides learners to build self-awareness, understand emotions, and further connect with the outside world during the teaching process, creating a mutually beneficial educational support system for students and teachers.

The Ministry of Education stated that interdisciplinary aesthetic education has been promoted for 12 years, gradually extending into different learning areas such as language, science, social studies, and technology. This has not only improved students' concentration and learning motivation but also continuously developed their diverse potential. In the future, the Ministry will continue to deepen interdisciplinary collaborative learning and teaching innovation, developing diverse learning pathways that combine interdisciplinary thinking, aesthetic literacy, and emotional competence to respond to the needs and challenges of future education.
Every exchange and every effort has allowed interdisciplinary aesthetic education to continue to sprout and grow throughout Taiwan, gradually shaping a more warm and imaginative educational landscape. The 2026 Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Season officially begins!
