With the core spirit of dialogue between "art, science, and society," this forum is being held this year on "International Day of Persons with Disabilities" to explore the potential of art and science in social inclusion.
Many traditional scientific research findings are difficult for people with disabilities to obtain. Internationally, there has been an exploration of how to apply theories and methods such as art-based, practice-based, and creative practice to explore relevant issues in a suitable and valuable way, and to serve as an important source for improving the lives of people with disabilities and their social care and support systems.
Accordingly, this forum should encourage interdisciplinary practice in research and education, foster diversity of potential partners in society, and embrace diverse forms of output (easily readable manuals, sign language/audio-visual documentaries, etc.). It should also explore what constitutes valuable output and its relationship to impact, discussing the development of diverse research products and the creation of an accessible environment for creation and dissemination. Furthermore, how interdisciplinary approaches can facilitate aesthetic exploration in art, media creation, and other forms of social communication education and dissemination, as well as issues of social emotional learning, sustainability, and social responsibility, are all directions worthy of further discussion and development. This forum, themed "Creating Accessibility," aims to promote dialogue, integration, and deepening of related research, education, and creation, and to advance the application of resilience in theory and practice.
Contributors are welcome to submit their works, narratives, or case studies in the following categories:
(I) Social Practices of Cross-Domain Innovation
(ii) Art, Science and Social-Emotional Learning
(III) Barrier-free education, creation, design and dissemination
(iv) Science communication, media and social inclusion
(v) Sustainability and Social Responsibility Issues
(vi) Creation and Narrative on Artistic, Scientific, and Social Themes
(vii) Other research or creative works that demonstrate interdisciplinary spirit and social concern
If your work does not fully fit the above categories, but has cross-disciplinary spiritual and social concerns, you are also welcome to submit it in the "Other" category and briefly explain its relevance in the submission materials.
