The Cross-Field Aesthetic Education Excellence Pilot Project is organized by the Ministry of Education as the "2023 Aesthetic Education International Pilot Teachers Study Abroad Visit". The Korean visiting delegation is composed of the project host, Professor Zhao Huiling, Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University, and the co-host, Taipei City University Vision Led by Professor Gao Zhenfeng of the Department of Art, 22 outstanding aesthetic teachers selected from major aesthetic programs across the country went to Seoul, South Korea from October 23 to 29 for school observation, exchanges, and experience in art institutions.

The featured schools visited this time include Paju Kumchon Elementary School. This school is an Art Flower Seed School supported by the Korea Development Agency. Its mission is to support small schools in remote areas (less than 400 students in the school). ) art courses to expand opportunities for students across the country to access culture and art. Here, the teachers observed the class of the resident artist. The two lecturers were well-known local artists. They asked the children to use various parts to express their current feelings.

Changdeok Girls' Middle School is a STEAM benchmark school known for its application of technology. This school makes full use of ICT technology to assist teaching. Each classroom is equipped with modern facilities such as wireless networks and tablet computers to facilitate students' learning. Not limited by geographical space. This time I observed an interdisciplinary course that combined history, art and technology, in which the art teacher guided the students to adjust a classical painting and explained the reasons for the adjustment. Principal Jin Yinghe of Changdeok Girls' High School shared the school's educational philosophy with the teachers. They believed that education should inspire students' enthusiasm for research, so that children can not only solve problems, but also proactively discover problems.

The last stop of the school visit was Deokwon Arts High School. This is a private arts high school with 40 students in each class. It is divided into two small class systems and has five classes per school year, including dance. In subjects such as subjects, music subjects and art subjects, teachers also saw the serious creative process of many students. Li Yongzhe, the principal of the school, believes that the core of art education is to cultivate creativity. Diversified, flexible thinking and novel perspectives are crucial. By respecting individuals and cultivating students' creative abilities, they can improve their artistic professional level.

In addition to the school visit, this trip also visited the representative office in Taipei, South Korea, and had in-depth exchanges with the leader of the education group, Zheng Zhengkai. Team leader Zheng said that people pursue truth, goodness and beauty throughout their lives. If you keep beauty in your heart, you will become a different person. He is pleased that Taiwan has such an educational program to promote international exchanges. The teachers also shared what they saw during the visit: the activation of campus spaces and the creation of aesthetic corners. This concept of "the environment is another teacher" was very impressive, and they expressed that they would definitely bring everything they learned back to Taiwan. , further enriching Taiwan’s aesthetic education.

In addition to visiting the Art Flower Seed School, STEAM School and Art High School, the rest of the itinerary also included visits to the Seoul Arts and Creativity Center, the Seoul Craft Museum, watching Nanta Show performances, visiting the Samsung Museum, and the traditions of the National Gugaku Center Music experience immerses teachers in Korea's diverse visual and performing arts atmosphere.
