[Course Highlights] National Beimen Senior High School: Streaming/Times/Memory


"If it weren't for this class, we wouldn't be talking to our elders!"
 
At Beimen High School, all freshmen in the school will have a common homework assignment: interview their grandparents and sing a song with them to take a selfie!
 
Under the call of Teacher Zhang Lizhong of the Art Department, the entire Chinese Department and Teacher Cai Peirong of the Music Department led the students together, starting from the documentary "Youth Cheerleaders", after seeing the energetic side of the older generation, and then through interviews, writing, portraits Come and get to know your elders deeply, sing memories in the music class "Sea Waves" and "Double Pillow", and get closer to your grandparents.
 
"Let children grow up and integrate diverse learning experiences into their lives and work." Through cross-disciplinary lesson plans on visual arts, music and Chinese writing, students not only have the opportunity to interact with their elders, but also learn about their own Family history, understanding stories and feelings that were never part of "that era". In this way, we can establish our own position in the world with our roots.
 
"Taiwan's history is the accumulation of everyone's life." Through the video, let us comb through the wrinkles together, recall the moments of the previous generation's life, and pick up the connection between this generation and Taiwan's history.
