1. Original Intention of Curriculum Development
Past decisions shape the current state of the environment, while present-day thoughts will determine its future. How can local children in Keelung develop a sense of belonging to their hometown through interdisciplinary aesthetics courses, learning in various fields, and, through understanding their hometown's past and present, fostering expectations for its future? These three themes emerged.
2. Curriculum Development Context(Please see the form in the file)
3. Course Implementation Status
Last semester, we conducted Theme 1 - "Shenmei My Home" for second grade, Theme 2 - "Keelung Green Map" for fourth grade, and this semester we conducted Theme 3 - "Future Dream Keelung" for sixth grade.
IV. Curriculum Development Concept
The ideas of Keelung people 50 years ago have shaped Keelung today.
The people of Keelung today will shape the Keelung of 50 years from now.
What kind of gifts can we bring to these Keelung children?
Through historical context, students will be inspired to imagine Keelung. After understanding the city's needs and empathizing with the needs of different communities, they will identify the necessary architectural facilities. This process will be documented using educational media like Padlet and Canva. Finally, children will design architectural blueprints using recycled materials.
We hope that the children will develop a deeper affection for Keelung, and also develop creativity and mutual cooperation in the process.
