Pingtung County Chaozhou Junior High School – Riding on the Wings of Beauty: A Graduation Season Where Aesthetics Intertwine Across Domains

I. Core Teaching Philosophy
The core concepts of the project in recent years have been to promote interdisciplinary teaching within the school, enhance sensory experience, and emphasize firsthand local experience. This semester, the project attempts to connect the course with life reflection at the graduation stage, elevating it to an aesthetic education with a philosophical dimension.
1. Continuous Exploration of Environmental Sensory Experiences: Continuing the research that began in the 2013-2014 academic year, this initiative replaces cartoonish or simplified concepts with real observation, using the visible sky and mountains on campus as targets to enhance observational skills. On the other hand, it aims to improve awareness of sensory stimuli such as sight, hearing, smell, and touch, such as using wind chimes to feel the invisible force and frequency of the wind, or the feeling of stretching one's body in the campus space and respecting others' bodies. This semester, this extends to sky-themed photographic postcards reflecting life's emotions, and music videos: "Our Three Years" and "Graduation Wind Chimes Carrying Happiness."
2. Enhancing Sense of Place through Walking-based Learning: Following anthropologist Tim Ingold's approach of understanding the relationship between people and their environment through walking, students will use their bodies to learn about their communities rather than relying on abstract knowledge derived from written language. Last semester focused on the old streets of Jianji Road and Japanese-style official residences; this semester, students will explore more traditional local religious sites.
3. Memories of Campus Life: In the past, the graduation atmosphere was often enhanced through school decorations. This academic year, we attempted to continue to strengthen the graduation atmosphere through artistic creations throughout the year. In addition to enhancing the sense of ceremony, the most important thing is to encourage students to reflect on their growth over the past three years, to better understand themselves, and to embrace their transition to high school life. Practical projects include "My Growth Book," interior design drawings for "Dreamers," and creative professional space models.
II. Continuity of Teaching Research (Courses with gray backgrounds represent this semester's courses)
Inheriting the above core concepts, the continuity in the materials and themes used in students' actual creations is also maintained to deepen the understanding. This semester continues the three-dimensional connotations of "wind", "sky" and "abstract creation of names".
1. Pocahontas: Experiencing the tactile sensations of wind through sight and sound → Backflowing incense, the white smoke from burning leaves (roasted marshmallows) → Wind chimes and dreamcatchers
