Hsin-Shang Elementary School, Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City—Aesthetic Vitality in Life—A Sustainable Journey from Land to Soul II (Second Semester Course)

Annual Core Theme: This program centers on "Aesthetic Vitality in Life," guiding students to draw creative elements from nature and everyday life through the changing seasons. It connects personal experiences with contemporary social and environmental issues, developing a contextualized interdisciplinary learning journey. Combining artistic creation, gender equality education, SEL (Sentence-Based Education), and food and agriculture practice (first semester course), it cultivates aesthetic literacy and a sense of social responsibility.
This spring semester's course, "Floral Goddess's Notebook," focuses on "environmental sustainability, design thinking, and artistic expression." It guides students out of the classroom for a field trip involving betel nut dyeing, allowing them to experience their homeland firsthand. Students apply design thinking to transform their emotions into creative ideas and plastic-free packaging, planting the seeds of a symbiotic relationship with the land within their hearts.
The summer program "A Feast for the Soul - A Festival of Aesthetic Living": Showcasing the Social Impact of Aesthetic Communication. As the grand finale of the academic year, this program focuses on "art flash mobs, creative displays, and fun participation," transforming accumulated learning energy into social impact. Children step out of the school and into the community, transforming from "learners" of aesthetics into "disseminators" through art flash mobs such as "Magical Portrait Painting," "Gender Equality Short Drama," and a dynamic "Learning Expo," using art to convey the warm values of love, equality, and sustainability to the public.
