Taipei Bojia Experimental Elementary School—Arts and Culture Feast Under the Camphor Trees

"Under the Camphor Trees: A Feast of Arts and Culture" is an art exhibition and performance event co-planned, collectively created, and personally participated in by teachers and students from grades 3-6. The event integrates music, drama, art, multimedia, literature, and character development practices, creating a multidisciplinary sensory feast that showcases the youthful energy and creative spark.

Our school, centered on the innovative philosophy of experimental education, emphasizes a learning process that fosters cross-disciplinary integration, deep engagement, and independent reflection, striving to cultivate students' transversal competence. Students apply the knowledge and theories learned in arts classes to practical performances at the "Campbell Tree Under the Arts Feast" theatrical performances, demonstrating a balance of "knowledge, ability, and attitude," embodying the core spirit of children's education in the new era.

Arts-themed courses integrate learning areas such as music, visual arts, performing arts, digital technology, social studies, nature, English, character education, international education, and literature. Through a creative aesthetic journey encompassing "aesthetic learning - creative inspiration - cross-disciplinary thinking - action - reflection and feedback," the curriculum enriches and fosters creativity, demonstrating a diverse and integrated learning style and fulfilling the educational vision of "Beauty and Creativity, enabling children to become wonderful individuals." Combining aesthetic education with literacy-oriented courses cultivates children's creativity, communication, and collaboration, breaking down disciplinary boundaries and making learning more vibrant.

From nothing to something, from imagination to practice, teachers and students realized their artistic dreams through action, worked together, supported each other, and completed an arts and cultural event of their own, embodying the school's educational core of "aesthetics, aesthetic thinking, aesthetic creation, aesthetic action and sharing."
