This innovative curriculum plan is implemented in middle school, with "Eat Chestnuts" as the curriculum theme, targeting third and fourth graders in elementary school.
Through planting sweet potato leaves, peas, and herbs, students designed a project that incorporates cross-cutting themes such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), allowing them to learn about the preciousness of life and the cultivation of moral character through practical experience. Ultimately, students will demonstrate their learning outcomes through a performance task.
