Song of Dream Mountain - Blue Shirt Weaving Dreams and Singing
When children stand at the threshold of graduation, we hope to give them an irreplaceable gift - a journey of memories woven by their own hands.
This course is a cross-domain curriculum design that combines language, art, comprehensive and flexible learning (school-based curriculum). Through six thematic units, it guides students to organize memories, feel emotions and look forward to the future through creation.
Beginning with "Listening to the Wind's Song," children used wooden wind chimes to communicate with nature, listening to the blessings woven into the campus breeze. In "My Name," they explored self-identity, transforming the meaning of their names into visual symbols, designing personal logos and cards to express their gratitude. "Growth Album" pieced together memories, allowing children to recount their life stories and connect their growth paths with family and school. Next, "Blue Shirt Departure" allowed them to hand-dye a graduation gown symbolizing their journey, donning memories and bravely embarking on their journey. "Blessings from the Heart" allowed them to hide their feelings in a graduation corsage, keeping it close to their hearts. Finally, "Dream Blueprint" used cyanotype techniques to freeze dreams into a blue vision of the future.
This is a dream-weaving experience about self, emotion, and aspiration. Each creation is the code and outward expression of a child's inner world. The course makes graduation not just an ending, but a profound and poetic beginning.
