New Taipei City Fuxing Elementary School - Craft Renaissance at Fuxing - Brighten the World (Senior Grades)

The cross-disciplinary aesthetics curriculum has historically been developed only for senior students. In the 2014 academic year, not only has this curriculum been expanded to include junior and middle school students, but the program has also expanded internationally, collaborating with dyeing and weaving artists from Indonesia to learn advanced Indonesian batik techniques, developing a Fuxing batik curriculum. This initiative, which is now taking a global approach to senior studies, is a key focus. Fuxing Elementary School, located near Burma Street, collaborated with the New Taipei Museum of Fine Arts in the 2014 academic year on the "Thumb Generation" exhibition. Through a cultural and historical tour of Burma Street, students can learn about Southeast Asian culture and incorporate cross-disciplinary aesthetics and cross-disciplinary nourishment.

Older students face the challenges of building confidence and career planning. We've optimized the previous cross-disciplinary aesthetics curriculum, building on the 2011 cross-disciplinary aesthetics course, "Craftsmanship Revival [I. Me. – Love Me, I Love]." The 2013 academic year coincides with the French Olympics. Drawing on the lesson plan from the 2011 Tokyo Olympics and incorporating the Mandarin text "Magic Architecture" by Gaudí, we've applied the mathematical cross-disciplinary symmetry of the Sagrada Familia to design a symmetrical icon for the French Olympics. Next semester, through comprehensive personal trait analysis and self-expectations, we'll develop the "My Future Is Not a Dream" course using life quotes and MBTI role models. Using AI images of people in their 40s, we'll build confidence and future dreams. Through hands-on experience in challenging crafts, we'll affirm our abilities, deepen our understanding of ourselves, and determine our future career development suitability for junior high school, allowing us to make responsible decisions.
