This curriculum is specifically designed for second-grade elementary school students, integrating visual arts, life skills courses, bilingual education, and SDGs/SEL core indicators to develop students' comprehensive qualities through the following four levels:
.Color aesthetics and emotional awareness(SEL Self-Awareness): Starting with the three primary colors, guide students to establish a connection between color and emotion. Through Mondrian's geometric aesthetics, students learn a sense of order and design thinking, transforming abstract emotions into concrete visual expressions.
.Scientific Inquiry and Sensory Experience(Life Skills Practice): Using everyday bubbles as a medium, mix proportions and make tools. Practice breath control by blowing bubbles and discover the similarities and differences between bubbles blown with various tools.
.Environmental issues and the building of empathy(SDG 13 Climate Action): Connecting the polar ice melt crisis, linking the "bursting bubble" with the "disappearing ice sheet". This fosters empathy among students for polar animals (polar bears, penguins, etc.) and helps them understand the ecological impact of climate warming.
.Cross-domain practices and action commitments(Responsible Decision): Through ceramic art combined with the special technique of "bubble glaze," a "polar animal thermometer" with temperature monitoring function was produced. Finally, through presentation, students were transformed from artists into responsible environmental guardians.
