This course builds on the school-based "Shadow Play" unit. Drawing on the "Cat Party, Dog Party" and "Twelve Nights" reports from Anne's News, and incorporating the documentary "Twelve Nights" as its core, it guides students into an in-depth exploration of animal protection issues. This is a profound interdisciplinary aesthetic practice. Students learn to interpret the symbolism of news text and images, and to employ theatrical elements such as light, shadow, and puppetry in their re-creations. They also design promotional posters using the "Very Sexy" software, learning to communicate issues through digital media. This is more than just artistic creation; it's a journey of expressing concern through art. Ultimately, students will be able to apply interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to create light and shadow plays that demonstrate their understanding of the issues and express their own perspectives.
