Taitung County Daguoguo Elementary School - Dawn Dream

Searching for Stories – Exploring the Roots of Cultural Aesthetics
Located in a multiethnic village nestled between Jinzhen Mountain and the Pacific Ocean, Daguoguo Elementary School boasts a rich cultural heritage. Its century-old taro trees bear witness to generations of inheritance, symbolizing the continuity and renewal of cultural roots. The school's core value is the nurturing of holistic aesthetic citizenship. Through three key development areas: the preservation and innovation of cultural aesthetics, the expansion of international artistic perspectives, and the practice of aesthetics in sustainable urban and rural areas, the school aims to cultivate students into modern citizens with aesthetic literacy, cultural confidence, a global perspective, and a commitment to sustainable development.
Through the "Thanksgiving Dinner Under the Centennial Eggplant Tree" as a practical learning environment, students can transform their aesthetic learning into concrete civic initiatives, realizing the holistic education vision of "aesthetics is life, life is service, and service is inheritance." This is more than just a dinner; it is a demonstration and practice of aesthetic civic literacy.
