Courses

Wulu Elementary School, Taitung County - Flying Deer

This course begins with a local tribal soundscape map, leading students beyond the classroom. Through fieldwork and on-site recording, they record the natural sounds and cultural environment of their hometown, allowing them to experience the pulse of the land and the depth of its culture through daily life. In this process, students not only learn to observe and listen, but also learn to understand history and society through sound, and draw inspiration from this for their own creations. Continuing with these local materials, students discuss, generate ideas, and write lyrics together in language and music classes. Through melody creation and digitally enabled arrangement exercises, they transform these lived memories into emotionally and meaningful musical works.
In the art field, the Photography Aesthetics course guides students to record life through the lens, learning image composition and color expression, strengthening their visual storytelling skills. Continuing with video editing, students integrate sound, music, and image to create complete audiovisual works. This curriculum design integrates language, art, music, and technology, encouraging students to use their diverse abilities to express and create.
Throughout the entire process, students develop fundamental competencies such as data collection, teamwork, creative thinking, and technological application. The final presentation not only showcases learning achievements but also serves as a cultural dialogue and a consolidation of self-identity. While expressing themselves and reflecting on their growth, students also learn to cherish and respect their homeland's cultural heritage. The overall curriculum is student-centered, connecting life experiences with subject knowledge, embodying the spirit of literacy-based teaching and laying a solid foundation for future learning and life.
