The Ministry of Education's Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Season 114th Academic Year Taitung County Partner School Achievement Sharing Session was held on June 12th at Taitung County Private Yu-Jen Senior High School. The event brought together 11 partner schools to showcase the results of their interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses that integrate art, humanities, technology, environment, and everyday life issues. The event opened with a wonderful performance by the National Taitung University Department of Music String Quartet and the Da-Wu Elementary School Choir, demonstrating Taitung's abundant artistic energy.

The event was hosted by Professor Li Qichang, the co-host of the project, with participation from teacher training committee members Professor Guo Meinu, Professor He Yuzhen, Assistant Professor Zhang Fuming, and consultant Associate Professor Cheng Yuxiong. Director Cai Meiyao of the Taitung County Government Education Department, Principal Liao Weimin of Yuren High School, Principal Jin Zhongyong of Dawu Elementary School, Principal Gao Jinqin of Xinyuan Elementary School, Principal Huang Zicheng of Dawang Elementary School, and Principal Jian Xueren of Dongcheng Elementary School also attended to express their gratitude. The distinguished guests affirmed the teachers' long-term commitment to interdisciplinary aesthetic education and looked forward to continuing to deepen curriculum practice based on local culture and life experiences, cultivating students' qualities and abilities for the future.

This exchange of achievements covered diverse themes including ecological exploration, sustainable environment, indigenous culture, social-emotional learning (SEL), AI creation, musical theatre, and bilingual education. Through courses such as bird observation, food culture, soundscape mapping, art creation, and local stories, schools guided students to start from the land, transform their life experiences into creative energy, and cultivate aesthetic literacy, cultural identity, and innovative thinking.

The event also included a cross-disciplinary aesthetic education workshop, combining socio-emotional learning, environmental sustainability, and artistic creation. This workshop allowed teachers to explore the possibilities of cross-disciplinary curriculum through hands-on exchange, promoting inter-school collaboration and professional dialogue. This results-sharing session not only showcased the rich tapestry of cross-disciplinary aesthetic education in Taitung but also ensured that aesthetic learning continues to occur within the land, culture, and community, accompanying students in exploring themselves, connecting with the world, and becoming creative and proactive future citizens.
