1. This course builds upon students' existing knowledge in art, music, performing arts, geography, and life technology. Through interdisciplinary curriculum design, it guides students to deepen their abilities in "emotional awareness" and "creative expression" by starting with "cultural understanding." The course combines Eastern and Western literary allusions, geographical and cultural contexts, and the diverse culture of Malaysia, allowing students to understand cultural differences and commonalities through artistic practice.
2. Throughout the course, students gradually develop Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) skills, such as self-awareness, emotional expression, empathy, and teamwork, through hands-on experiences including emotional awareness music activities, harmonious pastel painting, color theory and rice-painting installation art, spatial design and model making, as well as role-playing and stage performances. The final outcome is a performance at an arts festival, allowing students to transform their interdisciplinary learning into meaningful public art and performance activities, demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and creative confidence, and realizing the value of art in social and cultural dialogue and public expression.
