National Keelung Girls' Senior High School—PAPAGO, the Rain Capital—Local Beauty (Seaside Edition): Natural Route

Keelung is a historic city that was developed very early in Taiwan. It is a port city with mountains, rivers, and sea. Therefore, we hope that students can explore the local aesthetics through interdisciplinary aesthetic courses. Starting from the 2024 academic year, we applied for and planned three phases of local interdisciplinary aesthetic courses: (mountains), (rivers), and (sea). Through the "natural" and "humanistic" routes of the mountain, river, and sea sections, we explored and discovered the local beauty.
Building upon the experience of the "Mountain Chapter" course in the first semester of 2014-1 and the "River Chapter" course in the second semester of 2014, the 2015-2016 academic year focused on the "Sea Chapter" in Keelung as the aesthetic theme. The 2015-1 program implemented a "Cultural Route" (around Zhengbin Fishing Port and surrounding communities), exploring local beauty through field research and presenting learning outcomes as a collaborative "Local Ocean Walking Pop-up Book." The 2015-2 program implemented a "Nature Route" (Chaojing + Shijiao Beach). The program's focus was on "Cultural and Creative Design."
The learning outcomes were presented as a "creative market." Adhering to the research approach centered on the concept of "market," the "street vending activity" served as...
