New Taipei City Gongliao Experimental Junior High School – “Tracing the Ancient Trail and Creating Art”

With the "Gongliao Ancient Trail" as its core, the tour, light and shadow and drama experiences lead to local cultural memory.
Starting with "Tracing the Footsteps of Barcelona," students learn through reading historical and cultural texts, using place name clues, exploring ancient trails, and comparing data to understand that local culture is composed of different eras, roles, and perspectives.

The theater troupe collaborated to create a light and shadow play; eighth graders developed head puppets from the perspectives of the ancient trail landscape and characters, culminating in the ninth grade graduation performance of "A 300-Year-Old Promise on the Ancient Trail," forming a cross-disciplinary learning journey. Integrating ancient trail exploration, reading, a slow-paced aesthetic, and SEL (Social and Ethical Learning), the program fostered students' local identity and cultural understanding.
