On December 14th, at the Kishuan Literary Forest, the "114th Academic Year Teacher Training and Cooperative University Midterm Sharing Session" was held. In the literary space where books and nature intertwined, Professor Zhao Huiling, the project leader, Professor Huang Chunmin, the co-leader, and Professor Zhuang Minren, the assistant co-leader, delivered speeches to thank the teacher training committee members for their companionship along the way and for their dedication and achievements in promoting interdisciplinary aesthetics and sustainable education.

The sharing session focused on teacher empowerment and cross-disciplinary aesthetic practice, promoting in-depth exchanges among teachers. At noon, the participating teachers shared lunch together in the Literary Forest. The warm food carried care and emotion, and the warm interaction, like that of family, deepened their connections and worked together to inject new momentum into teacher training and cross-disciplinary aesthetic education.

The afternoon session featured a relay of sharing from various teacher training committee members, who, starting from different fields and disciplines, collectively pointed to a warm path: interdisciplinary aesthetic education is not only implemented in the classroom, but also grows together with teachers and teacher trainees in their respective learning stages.
Professor Hsu Hsiu-Chu shared her installation art teaching method of "turning waste into art and transforming waste into heart," starting with the restoration of Hualien. Children pieced together fragments of memories in their works, giving the greatest blessings to Hualien, themselves, and others. Associate Professor Ho Yu-Chen brought interdisciplinary aesthetics lectures and SEL art therapy workshops to schools in Taitung, opening up new imaginations for children. Associate Professor Shih Lan-Mei hoped that interdisciplinary aesthetics would not just be a slogan, but a real practice, through campus observations and empowerment lectures.

Associate Professor Tseng Yi-jen shared the story of Dongju Elementary School's "Art Island," highlighting the children's deep affection for their hometown and the ongoing extension of interdisciplinary aesthetic activities. Assistant Professor Chen Chun-wen connected people and nature through a botanical garden tour, putting design thinking into aesthetic practice. Assistant Professor Huang Ching-fang, Associate Professor Huang Jui-sung, and Professor Li Ching-fang respectively integrated local culture, musical instrument creation, and food bank service learning into the curriculum, allowing children and teacher trainees to grow together.

Professor Zhang Yushan, Assistant Professor Chen Xinheng, and other faculty members showcased the diverse possibilities of interdisciplinary aesthetic education from perspectives including sports, literature, music, opera, community, bilingual courses, performing arts, cultural heritage, STEAM, and AI. Everyone deeply recognized that, regardless of whether it's an art or non-art subject, every teacher is a precious treasure in the educational field.

During the engaging sharing session, the teachers and mentors held two comprehensive seminars. Professor Zhuang Minren pointed out that the teacher training committee members gathered to share their experiences, hoping to put into practice the spirit of "benefiting oneself and others." Professor Huang Chunmin warmly reminded everyone that the project's implementation not only responds to the core spirit of education but also aims to broaden the horizons and possibilities of teacher training. At the end of the event, the teachers and mentors reviewed the interweaving of the forum, courses, and practices, hoping that interdisciplinary aesthetic education can connect more deeply and broadly with various learning stages and society, continuing to exert its influence. Professor Li Qichang concluded with the character "仁" (ren, meaning benevolence)—a single character representing two people, creating infinite possibilities between oneself and others. Professor Zhao Huiling summarized that everyone is collectively on this ship of interdisciplinary aesthetic education, sailing forward together, exploring every beautiful journey of education hand in hand.
