Walking along the winding mountain path into Nantou Xiulin Elementary School, the sunlight after the rain bathed the campus. The interdisciplinary aesthetic education team and experienced teachers, following Principal Yang Qingfeng's sharing, witnessed how this once-endangered school was transformed into a vibrant stage combining beauty and diverse activities through aesthetic education and environmental renovation. The campus not only features creative curriculum designs themed around bamboo but also incorporates music, crafts, and art, showcasing a warm and comforting energy from within.

Stepping into the library classroom, we were greeted by a design based on the principle of "subtraction": simple yet warm, with staggered steps and bookshelves, complemented by elegant bamboo lighting and bamboo artwork in a corner, creating a cozy atmosphere where reading and aesthetics intertwine. And as the melodious sounds of a bamboo orchestra played, the students' learning and daily lives were subtly imbued with beauty.

On-site, we also experienced the beauty of bamboo crafts firsthand. Under the guidance of the artisans, we assembled bamboo materials that had undergone many complex processes, including drying, sun-drying, and drilling, to create a unique little bamboo chair. This was not only a hands-on workshop, but also an immersive journey through the bamboo forest: listening to the sounds of bamboo, experiencing the art of bamboo, and appreciating the beauty of bamboo.

Principal Yang said, "Bamboo can be used to design courses, incorporating its use in food, clothing, housing, and transportation." With the belief that "the art of leadership lies in inspiring others to dream more, learn more, create more, and achieve more," he has led Xiulin Elementary School down a unique educational path. This spirit is the most beautiful practice of interdisciplinary aesthetic education.
