Wanxing Junior High School, Changhua County – “Color Your Mood: AI-Powered Emotional Storytelling”

This interdisciplinary course centers on "Emotional Awareness and Expression," combining art, technology, and life experiences to address the rapidly evolving emotional development of seventh-grade students. Students frequently express their feelings through emoticons, colors, and images in daily life, but rarely have the opportunity to transform these intuitive experiences into conscious creation and reflection. This course starts with familiar symbols and visual experiences, guiding students to gradually understand emotions, recognize color imagery, and transform their inner feelings into tangible art and digital works.
The curriculum design emphasizes "process-oriented" and "contextualized learning," not solely aiming for skill proficiency or perfect results. Instead, it cultivates students' ability to recognize their own emotions and understand the feelings of others through discussion, creation, and sharing. In the arts, students learn to use color, composition, and visual elements to symbolize emotions; in the technology field, through the MOOTION animation tool, they experience the process of transforming static ideas into dynamic images, understanding the possibilities of technology as a medium for expression and communication.
In addition, the course incorporates the concept of social-emotional learning (SEL), guiding students to express their feelings and listen to others' perspectives in a safe learning environment. Through sharing and feedback on their work, students build positive peer interaction experiences. Through interdisciplinary integration, students not only learn art and technology knowledge but also apply emotional awareness to their lives, cultivating key competencies in self-awareness, understanding others, and expressing their thoughts.
