The core philosophy of this course unfolds at three levels: personal, social, and systemic. At the personal level, it guides students to begin by recognizing the emotions that attract them to cuteness, then to develop a concern for the vulnerability of life, and to express their stance through voice and creation. At the social level, it emphasizes understanding the emotions of others, achieving communication and advocacy with the public through sharing care and listening with peers. Finally, at the systemic level, it leads students to understand the structural factors of conservation issues, to see the interdependence between humans and the environment, and ultimately to transform these insights into daily sustainable action choices.
